Cadillac Bls Bags Winter Car 2007 Award      

Recently at the 77th Salon International de l'Auto Geneve (77th annual Geneva International Motor Show), Tekniikan Maailma magazine, one of the leading automotive publications in Finland named the 2007 Cadillac BLS 4-door compact sedan as the recipient of their Winter Car 2007 Award. Martti Merilinna, Chief Editor of Tekniikan Maailma handed the award to Cadillac General Manager Jim Taylor.

Changes Inside General Motors to be Implemented      

The largest automaker in the world is implementing massive changes that are not only designed to lower down costs but also to further enhance the efficiency of the company's management. And to start with, General Motors has announced last Friday in a federal filing that it will amend three sections of its company bylaws. The said amendments are expected to affect the range of directors authorized to serve on the board. Shanghai Gm to Introduce New Generation Chevrolet Epica      

In the news: the Shanghai subsidiary of General Motors, the Shanghai General Motors Co Ltd has recently introduced its latest generation of Chevrolet Epica. The new generation of Epica is designed to boost the brand as well as the firm's competitiveness in the mid-class car segment. The new generation Epica is equipped with a two liter D-Tec engine and will have a price ranging from 137,800 yuan ($17,794 USD) to 162,800 yuan offered in four configurations as announced by the company over the weekend.

 
 
Gm's Massive Restructuring and Cost Cutting Endeavors Will Result to 4th Quarter Profit      

Reports of profit coming from General Motors and Ford have become a rarity for the past few years. But GM would like to put an end to its "losing" tradition and said that it will report a profit for this week. The Detroit-based automaker and manufacturer of top-of-the-line GM heater cores has predicted a fourth quarter net profit after it has announced that there are errors in the company's accounting which caused the delay of its quarterly and full-year financial results.

Finally after all the delays, General Motors Corp. has announced that it is ready to release its fourth quarter earnings on Wednesday. It should be noted that the automaker was suppose to report its fourth quarter results last January 30 but since it has to restate its earlier results it has requested for an extension.
